Since the initial launch over 21 years ago, Peter has opened four further Little Bay restaurants, located in Croydon (1998), Farringdon (2002), Battersea (2003) and Brighton (2011).
Peter appeared on the London dining scene in the mid-1970s, having spent three years training at a catering college in his native Yugoslavia. He first worked at the Claridge’s Hotel in London as a Commis Chef before working his way through the ranks in some of the best restaurants in London.
He opened his first London restaurant, the Lantern on Malvern Road, in 1982. Soon afterwards Peter opened two more restaurants, the Pigeon on Fulham Road and La Cloche on Kilburn High Road.
His fourth restaurant, Just Around the Corner on Finchley Road, opened in 1984, which is where Peter originally introduced the ‘Pay what you think it’s worth’ concept.
Peter has always maintained the same ethos across the Little Bay restaurants – to provide good European food with a French influence at fantastic prices, excellent service and the best atmosphere and value for money this side of the Channel.
